Here are 5 activities to do with dad this Father’s Day

Gifts are great for pampering your dad, but spending quality time with him is what will really put a smile on his face. Don’t forget to laugh at his corny jokes, too.

Every dad enjoys something different, so we’ve come up with a few fun ideas on what to do for Father’s Day in Kuala Lumpur. If he’s an outdoors type of man, you’ll want to treat him to a thrilling helicopter ride, which will give sweeping views of beautiful rainforests and mountains. Not big on heights? Treat your old man to a lavish meal, whether it’s some juicy steaks or a decadent buffet brunch.

Show your dad some love with these activities to do around town on Father’s Day, which falls on 18 June.

Steak night

Dad is in for a real treat at Beast, where you’ll be spoiled for choice by a variety of high quality Australian steaks, lobsters and seafood. The real show-stealer here is the monstrous Tomahawk steak (a rarity in KL), which is aesthetically impressive with its giant bone handle, and a thick chunk of juicy ribeye. If dad is up for a cigar and tipple, head over to Tate, a whiskey den right next door.

Helicopter adventures

Go sightseeing and experience an adrenaline rush with dad on a helicopter tour. A variety of tours are available depending on his preferences. For nature lovers, you can choose to fly over KL’s lush rainforests, or 6,000 feet over the valleys and mountains to Genting Highlands. If you’re tight for time, you can opt for a six-minute tour that takes you around the iconic landmarks of the city centre.

The more, the merrier — celebrate Father’s Day with friends and the whole family at Serena Brasserie, where there’s something to suit everyone’s tastebuds. The highlight to try is the coffee-glazed prime ribs that are roasted to perfection.
